The International Sailors Society New Zealand Incorporated (ISSNZ) is the umbrella organisation representing the independent organisations in New Zealand.  It is known as Sailors’ Society New Zealand for routine purposes.

A Board of Directors represents each of the member societies and governs the Society.  The  Honorary National Secretary/Treasurer manages the Society,  liaises with the members and is the point of contact with the parent body,  Sailors Society in the UK.   The National Secretary and appointed directors serve on the Seafarers Welfare Board for New Zealand.

The Society is affiliated to the International Christian Maritime Association through the parent body.
